In September 2022, Pneuma Solutions released a completely updated software packaged called RIM (Remote Incident Manager). This software lets one computer access and control another computer that is across town or across the world. It can be used by technical support staff to provide assistance to customers remotely. But it can also be used by individuals to assist family members and friends.
American Printing House for the Blind ConnectCenter and NSITE, have partnered to create a Job Seeker’s Toolkit. The Job Seeker’s Toolkit is an accessible, self-paced, free online training course that helps students and job seekers who are blind or low vision, develop career exploration and job-seeking skills.

Judy Dixon In this piece, I will briefly review the major new features in Windows 11 that will affect screen reader users. Many of the changes from Windows 10 to 11 are visual, and will have little to no impact on those who rely on screen readers. The new interface is meant to be softer, friendlier, and more discoverable. The changes such as the start menu being in the middle of the taskbar will not even be discernible to those who do not see the screen.
The NVDA virtual conference is an event in which NVDA users, developers, contributors, supporters, and anyone who has an interest in accessible technology can meet to discuss and learn more about the free NonVisual Desktop Access (NVDA) screen reader. This year, the conference is titled "NVDA: 15 Years and Still Evolving".
