Dear AccessWorld readers,
As always, for our January issue, we celebrate the month with a braille focused issue in honor of Louis Braille's birthday. It is an exciting time to be a braille reader as over the past few years, braille has become more accessible than ever. With the development of low cost braille displays such as the Orbit Reader and Braille Me as well as long awaited developments in multi-line braille displays such as the launch of the Canute Multi-line Display as well as the upcoming dynamic tactile tablet from the APH, it is the best time to be an electronic braille reader.
As someone who grew up learning to read hardcopy braille, I've seriously missed the multi-line format it provides, so the fact that we are seeing tangible developments in multi-line displays, (that are actually coming to market!) is heartening.
In case you might have missed it before, you can now find our entire archive of AccessWorld Premium Content published to date, available for easier viewing on our website.
I would like to once again thank our authors for their hard work producing articles for this month's issue, AccessWorld is what it is today thanks to their effort and dedication. I would also like to thank you, AccessWorld readers, for reading our magazine each month. Knowing that there is an audience out there that derives value from what we publish is a great gift.
Sincerely,
Aaron Preece
