The American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) is proud to announce the 2025 Helen Keller Achievement Awards (HKAA), an evening dedicated to honoring true Champions of Change who are leading the way toward full inclusion and equal opportunity for people who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision. This prestigious event will take place on April 24th, 2025, at the historic New York Yacht Club in the heart of Manhattan.

Since its founding in 1994, this annual event has celebrated individuals and organizations whose transformative work has significantly impacted the lives of people with disabilities. Join us in honoring our 2025 awardees whose achievements inspire progress and drive meaningful change.

New York City holds a special significance in the history of AFB and Helen Keller herself. AFB’s headquarters were based in NYC for many years, with Helen Keller personally laying the first brick of the building.
