Announcer (Voice-over): Kirk Adams and others speak over various images from the gala and conference.
Kirk Adams: I'm Kirk Adams. I have the wonderful honor of being the CEO and President of American Foundation for the Blind. We're all here to push the boundaries of opportunity and access for individuals who are blind. Everyday, all of you, along with AFB, we're proving that achievement knows no limits.
Russell Shaffer: It is my honor and privilege to welcome you to the 22nd Annual Helen Keller Achievement Awards. Let's give it up for Facebook, Microsoft, and Haben Girma for all of the great things that they have done.
Jeff Wieland: I am Jeff Wieland. I am the Director of Accessibility at Facebook. AFB has always been by our side as a partner, as a friend, as an advocate, as a supporter, as an institution pushing us to do more and do better.
Announcer (Off-screen): On behalf of Microsoft is Jenny Lay-Flurrie, Chief Accessibility Officer.
Jenny Lay-Flurrie: I've been at Microsoft now 13 years, and it changed to be empowering every person and every organization to achieve more. The progress is real but there's a lot more to do. So, please, keep us grounded, keep us honest, know that your feedback is gold dust, and we want it, and we are very much listening.
Haben Girma: My name is Haben Girma. Disability is not a barrier. When communities choose to be inclusive then we all have access.
Kirk Adams: I want to thank everyone involved in the American Foundation for the Blind Leadership Conference in making this the signature event in the blindness field.
Thank you to everyone who attended, everyone who presented, to all of the sponsors and supporters.
George Abbott: Thank you very much for helping AFB.
Megan Dodd: Thank you.
Neva Fairchild: Thank you.
Mark Richert: Thank you so much.
Lee Huffman: Thank you for helping us create a world of no limits for people who are blind or visually impaired.
